Group information (2010)
Group minimum-20 people
Group maximum- 180+, we have 4 wagons available and we will use as many as needed for your group.
Of course if your group exceeds the 4 wagon limit we will have to break your group up.
Payment- a single payment for the entire group is appreciated, either cash or check made payable to: Janoski’s Farm & Greenhouse. Price is $5.00 for everyone who attends (children and adults). Two chaperones per every 25 people will be admitted free. (If your group is less than 25 only 1 will be admitted free) IF you order Scout Lunches they are paid for separately in the Pumpkinland kitchen.
Scheduling-call (724)899-3438 to reserve your time in Pumpkinland, reservations are taken over the phone or in person. Please let the person who takes your reservation know if you will be arriving in buses or cars.
Cancellations- Pumpkinland is open rain or shine, it will be your call as to whether or not you want to come, we will assume your group is coming until someone calls and cancels. If you do cancel you may reschedule if desired but you will be limited to what times and dates are available.
Parking- when your group arrives at Janoski’s Farm & Greenhouse please drive right into Pumpkinland by coming straight up the driveway between the farm market and greenhouse and follow the parking signs. If your group is arriving in separate cars please notify members where to park. (It is important that you do not park in front of greenhouse or farm market, please drive up to Pumpkinland and meet there!)
Arriving-once your entire group has arrived and is ready to start, the group leader can notify Patty, Nancy or Jinny and they will instruct you as to what to do.(PLEASE DO NOT allow any children to visit any activities until your entire group has arrived and is instructed to do so!) Due to the large number of groups on some days you may be instructed to enjoy the activities before your hayride.
Supervision- the staff in Pumpkinland is there for your safety, it is your responsibility to keep all children under your close supervision! PLEASE do not let any children run about freely. (there may be other groups attending Pumpkinland the same time as your group.)
Dress- the weather in October can be very unpredictable, please dress children and clients appropriately.
Lunches-There are three areas for groups to use for eating lunch. These spots are used on a first come first serve basis. Sorry but you cannot hold a spot. There is food and drinks available to purchase in Pumpkinland (Our farm market does sell cans of soda and gallons of apple cider, please bring your own cups for cider.)
Scout Lunches $3.50 Peanut Butter & Jelly, Chips and a Juice Box or Hot Dog, Chips and a juice box.
MUST HAVE LUNCH COUNT 2 days prior to arrival. NO LUNCHES AFTER 2:00
Exiting-we ask that you follow the exit signs down past the petting zoo, then left out past main greenhouse to Rt.30. If you would like to shop at our farm market, bakery or garden center after your Pumpkinland visit, we ask that you drive your car following the exit signs and park in front parking lots. Our farm market, bakery and garden center is open daily 8am-7pm.
