Douglas Fir

Lush, blue-green foliage with soft needles about 1 inch long , easy-to-decorate tree with sturdy branches and excellent needle retention.

Fraser Fir

Soft, three-quarter-inch emerald-green needles with silver underneath, arranged like a bottle-brush. It has sturdy branching and outstanding needle retention.

White Pine

Soft, 3- to 4-inch blue-green needles with good needle retention. It is a graceful evergreen but its soft branches make hanging heavy ornaments impossible.

Colorado Blue Spruce

Can make a beautiful Christmas tree with its lovely color, but it has very sharp! Needles that are 3/4-inch and range from dark green to very silvery-blue. It has good needle retention but not the best. If you are looking for a live balled and burlap tree then is an excellent candidate.

Scotch Pine

One of the more popular. It has sharp, 2- to 3-inch-long blue-green needles, good needle retention, and usually a dense, conical shape.
